Himalayan Hatha Yoga
Foundations Practice – Inner Awakening Journey
This session introduces Himalayan Hatha Yoga as a foundational practice within the Inner Awakening Journey, guided by Yogi Ashokananda.

The practice focuses on a clear and steady exploration of asana, with attention to posture, alignment, and the natural coordination of breath. Rather than striving for form or intensity, the emphasis is on learning how to inhabit each posture with awareness, allowing the body to organise itself with stability and ease.
The practice focuses on a clear and steady exploration of asana, with attention to posture, alignment, and the natural coordination of breath. Rather than striving for form or intensity, the emphasis is on learning how to inhabit each posture with awareness, allowing the body to organise itself with stability and ease.
Asanas are taught in a way that supports joint and ligament health, muscular balance, and overall integrity of the body. Breath awareness is used to remain present and attentive, helping the mind to settle and the practice to unfold without force.
This session offers a grounded approach to Himalayan Hatha Yoga, where practice becomes a means of reconnecting with the body and cultivating inner steadiness. It serves as a supportive step in the Inner Awakening Journey, inviting participants to listen more closely, move with care, and establish a relationship with practice that can grow over time.
Pranayama
Inner Awakening Journey
This session introduces Pranayama as a gentle and accessible practice within the Inner Awakening Journey, guided by Yogi Ashokananda.

Pranayama is approached as a way of becoming familiar with the relationship between breath, awareness, and life force (prana). Through simple and appropriate breathing practices, participants are invited to observe how breath influences inner steadiness, clarity, and presence.
The focus is not on control or effort, but on learning to breathe in a way that feels natural and supportive. Attention is drawn to how inhalation, exhalation, and moments of stillness affect the body and mind, creating space for calm and balance to arise.
This session serves as an entry point into understanding how breath can support the Inner Awakening Journey by helping the system settle and awareness turn inward.
Prana Kriya Yoga
Inner Awakening Journey
This session offers an introduction to Prana Kriya Yoga as part of the Inner Awakening Journey, guided by Yogi Ashokananda.

Prana Kriya Yoga is presented as a gentle and structured practice that works with movement, breath, primordial sound, and attention. The focus is on becoming familiar with how these elements influence inner steadiness and awareness, rather than on achieving specific experiences or outcomes.
Kriyas are introduced in an accessible way, allowing participants to explore coordinated movement and breath with care and simplicity. Attention is given to how energy is felt within the body and how correct pacing and ease support a sense of balance and presence.
This session offers a supportive entry point into understanding how Prana Kriya Yoga can assist the process of turning inward and cultivating greater attentiveness.
Atma Kriya Meditation
Inner Awakening Journey
This session introduces Atma Kriya Meditation as a quiet and reflective practice within the Inner Awakening Journey, guided by Yogi Ashokananda.

The meditation invites attention to turn inward, allowing awareness to settle and become familiar with inner stillness. Breath, gentle focus, and attentive presence support this inward movement, without effort or expectation.
Rather than seeking particular states or experiences, the practice encourages patience and receptivity. Participants are guided to observe the natural rhythm of breath and awareness, allowing the mind to quieten and attention to rest more fully in the present moment.
This session offers a supportive entry point into meditation, suitable for all levels. It provides space to pause, listen inwardly, and begin to recognise how regular meditation can support clarity, steadiness, and self-awareness in daily life.
The session includes a meditation discourse, offering guidance on the principles and purpose of meditation, followed by time for questions and shared inquiry with Yogi Ashokananda. This allows understanding to deepen through reflection, dialogue, and attentive listening, in the spirit of the Retreat and the Inner Awakening Journey.
Himalayan Hatha Yoga
Restorative Practice – Inner Awakening Journey
This session supports the Inner Awakening Journey by creating space to slow down, settle, and turn attention inward.

Through a small number of Himalayan Hatha Yoga asanas, practiced with ease and attentive awareness, participants are invited to rest deeply and reconnect with their inner landscape. Postures are approached slowly, with sensitivity to breath and comfort, allowing the body to soften and the mind to quieten.
Practices are primarily seated or lying down, offering support to the nervous system and encouraging a sense of safety and groundedness. Rather than striving or achieving, the emphasis is on listening, allowing awareness to return to the body and breath in a natural way.
This restorative practice serves as a gentle entry point into the Inner Awakening Journey, supporting rest, reflection, and reconnection. By creating space for stillness, the body is given the opportunity to recover and the mind to settle, allowing clarity and inner presence to emerge on their own.
