Dr. Radhika Agrawal

We are very thankful for her services and her skills to support our community, Ashok Tree visitors and the local people. She is trained in BNYS (Bachelor in Naturopathy and Yoga Science) and a registered naturopathy practitioner. She teaches Yoga, Ayurveda, holistic treatments and naturopathy classes. Her clients have realised remarkable results after her treatments. She trains apprentices between 2 and 5 years and since 2010 Dr Mumtaj has run her own clinic in town.
Laxman Prasad
Laxman Prasad found the property for the Ashok Tree and his on-going commitment, dedication and professionalism to the Ashok Tree’s guests, building & development projects and the projects with the affiliated Foundations is truly remarkable. He is a key person as Ashok Tree Director and oversees Ashok Tree with the supervision of Yogi Ashokananda.
A yoga practitioner with business management graduate degree and currently studying to become an Ayurvedic doctor, he has been with us since the relocation in 2006. His continuous support is inspiring, his laughter is unforgettable and he leads by example. We are very grateful, delighted and hope that his future profession as a doctor will directly support our vision for the community.
Vijaya
Vijaya is our care lady and keeps Ashok Tree clean while also helping in the kitchen. She is widowed with 2 children, was unemployed when she joined Ashok Tree in 2011. The great effort of Laxman Prasad to train her to cook for our March 2012 retreat laid a good foundation for her growth in her own house. She takes care of hygiene and health and together with Ramsukhdas, they make a great team in the kitchen.
Vasu
Vasu is the manager of Ashok Tree and a key contributor for the team on the ground. He acquires everything that is needed for the Ashram, the building work and the guests while advising as an expert on local knowledge. He is a very dedicated and hard worker, it is a delight to witness his own personal growth since he joined our team in March 2012. Vasu has put lot of effort in our Shanti building work and is continuing to provide the input we need to grow the Ashram.
Goverdhan
Goverdhan has been with us since 2009 and his hard working and his caring nature touches our hearts. His knowledge about plants and herbs is second to none and he keeps us going with his daily-prepared herbal teas. He provides a great deal of guidance and wisdom on the local flora and fauna as he regularly leads guests or the Sita Devi Charity School students on nature walks. He is from Madhya Pradesh and works in the forest department of India. We love his care and tea, his volunteering devotional service to Yogi Ashokananda as well as all his karma yoga.
Ramsukh Das
Ramsukh Das is our beloved cook and temple Pujari – we are so fortunate to have him with us for the last 7 years; he has spent his whole life in devotional yoga and doing bhajan. Growing up as a theatre actor in his teens with a local spiritual drama company, which became his inspiration for his spiritual path. He played many roles as Ram, Sita or Hanuman many times. He lives with his family near Ashok Tree in a simple house and leads a simple life with his wife and their 4 young children.
