We greatly admire Michael’s contribution to our community in design and structure, the constant support and development of our community.
Laxman Prasad
Laxman Prasad is our main key person who found the land for this project and his dedication to help is remarkable. He is also a director of the project and oversees it with the supervision of Yogi Ashokananda .
A yoga practitioner with business management graduate degree and currently studying to become an ayurvedic doctor, he has been with us since the move in 2006 and his continuous support is inspiring and his laughter is unforgettable. If there is anyone who worked hard to establishand to create this project, then it’s him. We are very grateful and delighted and hope his doctor skills while support our vision and the community.
Vijaya
Vijaya is our care lady and keeps our place clean and helps us in the kitchen. She is widowed with 2 children, was unemployed when she joined us in 2011. The great effort of Laxman Prasad to train her to cook for our March 2012 retreat laid a good foundation for her growth in her own house. She takes care of hygiene and health and together with Ramsukhdas, they make a great team in the kitchen.
Vasu
Vasu is the manager of the Ashok Three Ashram and a main key-worker for our team on the ground. He gets everything that is need for the Ashram, the building work or the visitors from the market and help with any needed local information. Apart from that he is a very dedicated and hard worker, we are also so happy to see his own personal growth since he joined our team in March 2012. Vasu has put lot of effort in our Shanti building work and is continuing giving us all the input we need to make the Ashram grow.
Goverdhan
Goverdhan has been with us since 2009 and his hard working and caring nature touches our hearts. His knowledge about plants and herbs keeps us going with his herbal teas prepared daily . He is from Madhya Pradesh and works in the forest department of India. We love his tea and care, his volunteering devotional service to Yogi Ashokananda as well as all his karma yoga.
Ramsukh Das
Ramsukh Das our beloved cook and temple Pujari – we are so fortunate to have him with us for the last 7 years of his service, he spent his whole life in devotional yoga and doing bhajan. Growing up as a theatre actor in his teen with local spiritual drama company, that was his inspiration for his spiritual path, from playing many roles as Ram or Sita or Hanuman many times. He lives with his family near to our Ashram in a simple house and leads a simple life with his wife and their 4 young children.
