Yoga & Meditation Retreat – Strength & Inner Power with Yogi Ashokananda – 7 Days in India

This 7-day Yoga & Meditation Retreat in India will give you the unique experience of igniting your energy to align with your true self through regular Yoga, Pranayama, Meditation and Mindfulness sessions.

Neuroprana hosts the 7 day Strength & Inner Power Yoga Retreat with Yogi Ashokananda guiding the practices.

Surrounded by nature, the 7-day retreat at Yogiville India focuses on two unique yoga disciplines personally developed by Yogi Ashokananda.

Himalayan Hatha Yoga –  Based on traditional principles of Hatha Yoga

Prana Kriya Yoga – Harmonises and unites the flow of the physical body movement (kriya) with its energetic power (prana) helping you become aware of your creative potential

Pranayama (Breathing), Meditation, Mindfulness and Chanting will complement the twice daily yoga practices to help you dive more deeply into yourself.

Yogi will teach Prana Kriya Yoga in the morning, Himalayan Hatha Yoga in the evening and Atma or Kriya Meditation during the day.   Sessions will focus on exactly what your mind, body and soul instinctively require; developing strength & awareness to move you out of your head to delve deeper into your body and align with your true self.

Learn the value of wellness and physical health through nutritious food, yoga and meditation sessions. Our team are experts on body, mind and spiritual health. The outcome for every guest is more energy and the development of strength to be aware of your true self.

The daily routine will consist of morning and evening yoga practices, meditation, pranayama,  and chanting and bhajan (chanting and drumming) accompanied with open fire after dinner in onsite temple area.

During your free time you can enjoy an Ayurvedic treatment in our onsite Wellness Centre, visit the community projects we sponsor (Sita Devi Charity School, Primary School adjacent to Ashok Tree), tour Tiruvannamalai, fire elemental town of Shiva with Mt Arunachala at its heart, hill trekking, chill in hammocks, Karma Yoga to Trees and plants or be in your own space, read a book or nap in a hammock.

Yogi Ashokananda

Yogi Ashokananda is an expert and pioneer as a practising master of yoga, mindfulness and meditation and a speaker on humanity and spiritual philosophy. Raised in India, now residing in the U.K., he has been practising yoga since early childhood when his Grandfather was his first teacher. Over many years Yogi Ashokananda has been fortunate to develop his teaching, experience and education of yoga under some of the great, remote, Indian masters and siddhas. He has taught the teachings of the Bihar School of Yoga, the Sivananda Ashram, hatha yoga and meditation at the Shri Ved Niketan Ashram, Rishikesh and the Yogamaya Ashram in Vrindavan. Now he teaches a number of his own profound disciplines and insights which have their roots in ancient, sacred Indian tradition.

Location Information – Yogiville India

At Yogiville India, we are quite traditional with our approach. For example, the food prepared is grown onsite or locally, is organic, and follows sattvic principles.  We see yoga as a way of life, not just a physical practice, and the approach we take to nutrition / food is just one example.

Another is the natural environment which will support the retreat. We believe that reconnecting with nature is part of the yoga retreat experience. Yogiville covers 13 acres of land on the edge of a village, which is on the outskirts of the town of Tiruvannamalai in South India.  The land has been transformed over the past few years into a homeland for many new and returning species, with increasingly diverse flora & fauna.  We have several fields of orchards and farmland growing many types of fruits and vegetables to feed our guests, workers, and cows.

Nestled in between the gardens, orchards, and fields, the facilities for the yoga and meditation retreat include a large open-air Yoga shala, Meditation bowl, and temple area. Also on the Ashok Tree grounds is the Sita Devi Charity School, which educates around 100 primary school children per year, incorporating yoga and meditation into the curriculum. Karma yoga at Sita Devi is one of many optional daytime activities during the retreat.
